Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy

Who is bent? Maybe none of them, maybe all, maybe some on both sides. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy as an adaptation of an 8 hour long TV mini-series, which was an adaptation of John le Carre's Cold War Spy novel, is actually pretty well made. It is a bit slow to get going, sort of on par with 'The Good Shepherd', and it maintains a slow yet methodical story arch, which is exactly what you should expect of a movie based more on intelligence trade-craft and miniscule details that end huge intelligence operations.
Gary Oldman is wonderful as usual as he leads the search for the mole in British intelligence. Co-starring with him is Mark Strong for Body of Lies, and Robin Hood, who I really enjoy watching, because he can fit into so many different roles.... and I can understand his Arabic because he obviously doesn't have an accent being English and all.
This is the kind of movie that Intel officers go home and watch for entertainment, after working all day doing similar things. If you are looking for a spy thriller based in reality, watch this movie. If you want something with stunts, action, and women that look better than Anna Chapman (Russian spy arrested in New York in 2010) ,  then watch 007.
I give it 3.2 whispered secrets out of 5.
